Introducing five interactive Advent Living Rooms for 2022 that have been created for everyone to experience during the upcoming season of Advent. When you click on various items in each Living Room you will be taken to a wonderful collection of stories, all ages devotions, recipes, outdoor adventures, songs, and crafts. This resource has been created for everyone to have fun while learning and marking our journey to Bethlehem.
To get an idea of what I’m talking about, just click on the photo at the beginning of this blog post. Your screen will then be filled with the picture of the first Advent living room and the many items found in the room will be clickable and take you to wonderful places to enjoy.
Welcome back!
I hope you had some fun and imagined how these living rooms might excite your congregational members.
So, how can you use these slides with your church?
First of all at the end of this article you will find screen shots for each of the five living rooms. Below each screen shot you find the link to each living room. With both of these you can then upload the screen shot and the link onto your church website, Facebook page or weekly email for your members to interact with. You can either connect the link to the screen shot itself, or simply post the link below the screen shot.
Don’t upload them all at the beginning of Advent though. Upload each one on the Saturday evening before the appropriate Sunday so people aren’t tempted to jump ahead and get it all done in a day or two. Then upload the Christmas Eve & Christmas Day slide and screen shot and link on the evening of Friday, December 23rd.
Once each is uploaded your work is done.
Just let people know they are there for them to visit throughout each week.
Oh, and just one more thing. If you go back to the blog post just before this post you will find a free, downloadable Advent devotional booklet for your church to make use of as well. I just want to let you know these two resources were created to work together while also able to stand alone. Some in your church may just wish to use the devotional booklet, others may just use the Living Rooms, and some both. It’s up to each person and family to decide.
So, here are the screen shots and the links for your church to upload this Advent. I pray that your Advent season may be filled with hope and joy as you journey to Bethlehem this Advent.
