Camp Cairn is our amazing synod camp tucked in the woods of the Muskokas, sitting on Echo Lake. Knowing that families are looking for things to do while we’re social isolating, camp staff are generously providing a full schedule of camp activities everyday of the week. These activities are for all kids, whether Camp Cairn campers or kids wondering what church camping looks like. Check out the attached schedule and sign in for a great day at Camp Cairn.
From Robynne “Mapes” Howard, Camp Cairn Director:
We’re in the middle of a trying, uncertain, stress-inducing time. There is a lot we cannot control, and much that is, as yet, unknown. Even in spite of the current status of our world, at Cairn, now as always, we believe in the importance of creating connections, fostering growth, and sharing God’s love in all that we do.
In a time when our campers are out of school, and we are being encouraged to stay around home, Cairn wants to bring a little taste of the camp community to you in your home. Our staff and alumni have been hard at work to create a daily program to remind us that, whether physically together or spiritually together, we have a camp community that is loving, joy-bringing, and can be supportive to each other as our families navigate the burden of this pandemic.
You can view this schedule at the Cairn site with further explanation of each of the activities and instructions for signing in. Check it out at: www.ilovecamp.org/cairn-connects.cfm.
If you have requests for programs you’d like to see, feedback on the programs so far, or any other ideas for how else we can help you, please send Robynne ‘Mapes” Howard an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
