Have you figured out how you will be doing Sunday school and/or youth ministry with the children and youth of your church yet?
If you are looking for a hybrid model for faith formation with the younger members of your church family that will work outside of an in-person classroom setting, join us on Tuesday, September 1 at 10:30 ET for a one hour Zoom gathering and hear about some great possibilities for at-home and online education.
In this Zoom get-together you will hear about three distinct models for faith formation with children and youth; family-based, Zoom, and online classroom. Robynne Howard and Tori Smit will briefly present overviews for each model, the faith forming theory behind each, talk about some of the opportunities and a few of the drawbacks for each, and let you know which published curriculum options are well suited to each.
After a short Q & A you will have the opportunity to select which model you’d like to chat about further in a small, leader-led break out group.
We hope this will help your church determine in which direction they’d like to go this fall.
In the following weeks we will offer 3 more Zoom meetings, one per model, if you’d like to go into greater depth with your chosen model, or you’d just like to continue the conversation with all three.
If you would like to join in on the September 1 Zoom get-together just send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and request the link for this Zoom meeting.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Robynne Howard, Camp Director with the Cairn Family of Camps
