Greetings in the Lord’s name. We trust you are keeping well and safe in these strange, uncharted days. I’ve been collecting a number of links to great websites/blogs/articles over the past couple of weeks that I think represent some of the best we can be doing, following or gaining insight from as we practice social distancing and stay home in our efforts to flatten the curve. I had hoped I could weave them into an article along the way, but for one reason or another, they never quite fit the article themes I was working on. I don’t want them to be lost in the shuffle, so I’m posting them all here in the hope that one or two might also resonant with you.

It has been quite a week! Already it seems like a month since the decision to close churches. I am grateful for the stories I am hearing of people who are going out of their way to reach out to each other, especially by phone or video. Likewise I have heard of at least two instances where people ran bible studies and/or worship on video only to discover that the group was twice as big as normal, in part because shut-in people could join in as well as people who no longer live in the area. It may be worth keeping this up even after the doors open again.

(more…)I am so excited to bring you this video clip from Rev. Reuben St. Louis from Nassagaweya Presbyterian Church. Last week their church was expecting to host a Kintail At Our Church week at their church for the children of their community to enjoy and experience the delight of Christian camping at their church. With the closure of our churches Reuben and his two sons decided to host camp chapel over the internet. Their Chapodcast includes singing, praying and bible reading in a wonderful camp way.
